• Robert Watts, né dans Iowa en 1923, est un artiste américain, diplômé en génie mécanique avant d'entrer dans la marine. En 1948, il s'installe à New-York pour obtenir un diplôme en histoire de l'art pré-colombien, et ainsi devenir un professeur d'art au Collège Douglass à l'Université Rutgers en 1953 poste qu'il conservera jusqu'en 1983.

    De 1960 à 1964, son engagement artistique est lié à la pop-culture tout expérimente les environnements et les happenings. Partageant les lieux d'expositions avec les artistes tels : Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Tom Wesselmann, son travail est soutenu par les galeries comme la Martha Jackson en 1963, Galerie d'art de Washington, aux Galeries Bianchini et Léo Castelli de New-York, en 1964.

    Tournant le dos au système des galeries marchandes avec son ami de George Brecht, aux côtés des artistes : Alison Knowles, Ay-O, Al Hansen, Ray Johnson, John Cage et Dick Higgins, Allan Kaprow, Henri Flynt, Ernie Gehr, Geoffrey Hendricks, les artistes s'organisent pour proposer une forme souple presque inexistante leur permettant d'abolir la distance qui sépare l'art de la vie et organise la manifestation la "Yam festival". Contrepoint du mouvement FLUXUS de George Maciunas. Personnalité qui engagera une grande partie de son travail, fondant avec George Maciunas et Herman la Fine Implosion Inc. destinée à la production en grand nombre d’objets Fluxus (boîtes, films, livres), édités avec la Fluxhouse Cooperative.

    Son travail est présenté dans de nombreuses collections : au Museum of Modern Art, New York City, au  Whitney Museum of American Art, au Smithsonian American Art Museum,  à l'Art Institute of Chicago, au Musée d'Art de Philadelphie, au Musée de San Francisco de Art moderne, au Walker Art Center de Minneapolis, au Centre Georges Pompidou de Paris, au J. Paul Getty Museum, à la de Kunsthaus Zurich  à la Tate Modern de Londres.

    Daniel Tremblay, artiste français, né le 7 mars 1950 à Sainte-Christine (Maine-et-Loire), décédé sur les bords de la Loire, le 8 avril 1985 dans un accident de voiture.

    Après avoir étudié à l'école des Beaux Arts d'Angers, il suit pendant une année des cours au Royal College of Art de Londres.

    Frederick Lane Sandback est né à Bronxville, New York, où, en tant que jeune homme, il pratiquela musique (banjo et tympanon. Il obtiendra un diplôme en philosophie en 1966 à l'Université de Yale, avant d'étudier la sculpture à la Yale School of Art où il a rencontré Donald Judd et Robert Morris. Il s'est défini comme un sculpteur: "Au cours des années, j'ai préféré le titre de sculpteur, j'aime l'enracinement de celui-ci, en se référant à mon amour précoce pour la sculpture de Michel-Ange, de Rodin et d'Henry Moore.
