In the middle of the twentieth century the second world war took place in Europe. After it was over, the people who remained were poor but happy to have come out alive. A man in Swizerland, a country that had not participated in the war, send to a  man in Germany - where the war had been started, and lost in 1945 - The first Christmas after, a bar of chocolate and a quarter pound of butter. Upon receiving the gift, the man wrote a long letter of thanks. From then on, each christmas until his death in 1969.
Mr Sutterlin sent him the same package, a bar of chocolate and quarter pound of butter. By 1949, the Man in Germany Had already recovered his position as a director of a factory and was well on his way to becoming wealthy. From 1955, he had a chauffeur and his Chrismas mail was handled by a secretary, handwritten on business card.

Au milieu du XXe siècle la seconde guerre mondiale a eu lieu en Europe. Après ce fut fini, les gens étaient pauvres mais heureux d'en être sorti vivant. Un homme de la Suisse, un pays qui n'avait pas participé à la guerre, à envoyer à un autre homme en Allemagne, d'où la guerre avait commencé, puis fini en 1945 - Le Noël suivant: une barre de chocolat et 250 grammes de beurre. À la réception du cadeau, l'homme écrit une longue lettre de remerciements. Dès lors, chaque Noël jusqu'à sa mort en 1969, M. Suetterlin lui a envoyé le même colis: une barre de chocolat et 250 grammes de beurre. En 1949, en Allemagne l'homme avait déjà récupéré sa position sociale de directeur d'une usine et était sur le chemin de la fortune. À partir de 1955, il avait un chauffeur et son courrier de Noël était traité à la main par un secrétaire sur un papier à entête de l'entreprise.
